Context: In case of an accident with third parties in Lebanon, the motor insurance law necessitates the presence of a specialized road accident expert to determine the responsibilities between the different parties. The insurer takes decisions based on the expert report in which the responsibility % of each party is defined. The experts currently take some time before preparing their reports; the insurer and the customer are stuck during that period, as the insurer can't take a decision before receiving the report.
Current practice: In case of an accident, the insured calls the expert or the insurer.
The insurer calls an expert to survey the accident. The expert may be servicing multiple entities, and he could be busy taking orders from multiple insurers at the same time. The expert surveys the accident and prepares the respective report that he will send to the insurer in 2 to 10 days. In multiple cases the insurer calls the expert to know if the case is practically covered so he can proceed with the repair.
Our App: The insurer will be able to retrieve the list of experts that are available near the accident location and unassigned to a case, pick one of them, and assign him/her to a case accordingly. Once the expert is assigned and the case dispatched, the expert will receive a notification on his/her mobile app. Once the expert opens his/her mobile app he/she will be able to directly see the pending notifications with the details of the case.
The expert will be able to accept to service a case, call the customer or call center to get more information on the location of the accident, and once there, take photos of the accident and answer a few basic related questions.
